1969 jeans

A few weeks ago my friend Jess and I were shopping for jeans at Hayes Valley’s Azalea Boutique. They have a great selection of premium denim (J Brand, Paige, Nudie, AG) and though Jess tried on a few pairs she liked, nothing really made her pull out the credit card. As we were leaving Jess pointed at a girl in the shop in a perfect pair of dark skinnies. She told us she’d bought them at Gap. I promptly checked out the Embarcardero store’s selection for myself and I was surprisingly pleased. Gap’s “perfect fit” marketing scheme is no lie—I tried on five pairs and each one fit me like a glove. I especially liked the new line of Legging Jeans (I prefer to call them jeggings) and a pair of wide leg trousers, perfect for the more casual office. The best part? They’re all around $60, a steal for a pair of jeans that fit well.

*Warning: The dark denim color seems to rub off at first. Proceed with caution and wash them a couple of times before wearing.
