winter maxi

Dress-Forever 21, Scarf-Spain, Belt-Taxi CDC, Shoes-Chelsea Crew
Simple feels like the right look for the first day of the 30 for 30. By the end of the remix I'll probably pull out some crazy combos to keep things looking somewhat fresh, but today it's ok to wear the basics. I had only worn maxi dresses in the summer until now, so I'm excited to remix this one for the winter. It's really comfortable and cozy and I have some ideas for how to turn it into a totally different look.

  4. I was SO close to including a maxi in my Winter 30 for 30 too! I took it out at the last minute, but now I'm wishing I had left it in!

  8. Just came across your blog for the first time and am excited to see that you will be doing the 30 for 30 too. Love this maxi dress and the way you paired it with the pink scarf and the belt to break it up a little. Cute! - Katy

  10. Looks like you're off to a great start! I love how long and lean this look is. I've been wanting to do the 30 for 30, I just have to work up the discipline to actually take outfits for 30 days in a row. Good luck with the rest of the challenge!

  11. I'm totally with you on starting simple. Check off all the easy outfits as you plot the wild ones.
This maxi dress is going to be great for the remix and will be wonderful as a maxi skirt.

  14. Love this look, that maxi dress looks super comfy, yet stylish. I also did a really easy outfit today, I'm not looking forward to it getting more difficult!

Also... I can't wait to see how you style that Gap cream sweater, I have it too, and am usually at a loss how to wear it!

  17. This maxi dress does look incredibly comfortable!

Cute outfit- you're off to a great start! I did the 30 for 30 last time Kendi ran it. I'm sitting on the sidelines this time, but definitely following the remixes! Looks like you have some great items choosen for the challenge!

Oh, and I have a giveaway running on my blog if you want to check it out! http://www.maritimeshopaholic.com/2011/02/silver-daisy-designs-giveaway.html

  20. Thanks for noticing my hair. Going straight instead of wavy takes a lot more time so I need all the motivation I can get!

  21. The Gap sweater is hard to style! Kendi's day 1 outfit was cute. I'll definitely be belting mine at some point.

  22. Taking photos can be a pain every day but once you get into the routine it goes pretty quick. You should do the spring 30 for 30!
