texture and tweed

Cabi jacket and shirt, Stella McCartney jeans, Camper shoes
My mom offered me this jacket a few weeks ago because she didn't like the way it fit her. At first I was hesitant--it felt a little mature for me--but I decided it would make a good work outfit. Plus I don't mind a little nod to Chanel's classic tweed jackets. This piece will probably go into hiding for the spring and summer, but I'm sure I'll pull it out again next fall when I'm feeling like a little texture and tweed.

  6. I definitely thought Chanel when I saw that jacket. I love that you kept the look young and fresh by pairing the jacket with jeans, though I totally see how it could look too mature if you paired it with say, a black pencil skirt. You have a really pretty smile, by the way!

  7. Tweed is difficult. I think you're right that it can be overly mature, especially in traditionally boxy cuts, but it has so much potential that I think it's always willing to try. Especially when you've succeeded so well here by keeping the rest of the look youthful and effortless. This is going into my inspiration folder for sure!

  9. That's a great jacket and family clothes swapping is the greatest! So I thought I was following your blog on bloglovin' and I never saw any new posts so I finally checked it out and it wasn't updating due to some error so I tried following the other one and now it's working! Sorry it took me so long to notice that I was missing your posts.
