Spain part 1: los tocados

I went to Spain to help my friend Maria prepare for her wedding. I couldn't go to the actual wedding because another friend was getting married the same weekend, so it was fun helping get things ready. Maria and her mom Lola had me run errands while they were at work. One of my favorite errands was to the hat store. In Spain many women wear hats (called tocados) to weddings and Lola wore a really cool one from a store called Rita Von

  2. Well...I'm starting to think there's no reason we can't wear hats here. I'm hoping the royal wedding will start a trend!

  4. I want an excuse to wear a hat like this? Can fashion-blog followers start a wedding-wear revolution? If we all agree, can it be de rigueur in the USA that we wear cool hats and - dare i say - fascinators? Yes, please.

  6. Okay, not fair. Women in the states really need to get in on the hat action. Those tocados are amazing!
