get your leather on

Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is one of my idols. More because of her badassness than her wardrobe, however the top half of today's outfit was inspired by this song. A leather jacket is the perfect year-round layer for San Francisco and I've been on the hunt for a while. When my friends at Vince introduced me to this one, I knew I'd found my jacket. I wanted something I could dress up or down and layer over anything--even a girly pink skirt and rhinestones. Though Karen O would never dream of wearing such a combo, I'd like to think she'd nod in approval as I get my leather on and dance around the streets of San Francisco.
